This quickly became one of my favorite Star Wars movies. The cast, the characters, and the context itself were impeccable, fun, and honestly, I was in awe. Maybe it’s the fact that wow, this was a real Star Wars movie, a new release of canon I haven’t seen before. But the writing created the stakes necessary, treated its characters well, and built the dynamic of its protagonists into something the audience could get behind.
